Man, the Weeknd is such a good success story, like...I still have this guy's number in my phone when I first met him, right before he blew up. My homegirl was on the cover for House Of Balloons...he used to be homeless...what a trip!! It seems like his new album will be a return to those sounds too...the sound I wasn't sure would take him too far as a pop star...boy was I wrong. If Travis Scott's post was accurate he is...and I can't wait! "My Dear Melancholy", drops at MIDNIGHT TONIGHT!

As a foster kid growing up, some of the only consistency I had were my comic books. I had quite the collection, which would be worth a pretty penny today...if my penchant for not cleaning up behind myself didn't lead my biological grandmother to throw them all out in the rain one day. lol. I could probably buy her house with what some of those comics would be worth right now. smh. Needless to say, comic characters are near and dear to my heart and I actually remember the first appearance of Cable and Deadpool, so I was eager to see how they would translate on screen. I was not disappointed with this new trailer. At. All. The combination of humour, breaking the 4th wall and action make Deadpo

Donatella Versace has followed in the footsteps of numerous other designers and ditched the fur. The fashionista, 62, who has seemingly managed to avoid the issue until now, told The Economist‘s 1843 magazine that she will no longer use real fur in any of her designs. She told the publication’s Luke Leitch: “Fur? I am out of that. I don’t want to kill animals to make fashion.” According to a recently released statement, the Versace team, who will phase out fur from the 2019 collections onward, are now keen for the brand to take on a more environmentally friendly approach when it comes to their clothes. “Sustainability is a core part of the brand’s journey into the future and Versace is const
Man, this week sucks...first Craig Mack, now Stephen Hawking...what? surely I can't be the only hip-hop aficionado fascinated by the world of theoretical physics...can I? Here's another theoretical physicist I love, Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson on the afterlife. RIP and long live all the thinkers <3
This one hits really close to home. Flava In Ya Ear was the soundtrack to one of the greatest summer's of my life as a kid. I was 16, I had just become "cool" because of a growth spurt and my burgeoning basketball talent, I finally made some friends (one, a White guy named Jeff who looked like Craig Mack and even had an afro...don't ask. lol) and I had reconnected with my biological mother for the first time since I was 4 years old. You just couldnt escape Flava In Ya Ear that summer...and who would want to?! Then they dropped the remix which featured Biggie Smalls, LL Cool J, Keith Murray and a host of other 90's hip-hop lyricists, which really took this song to the next level and put it in
So I had a pretty nasty experience with a cab driver that I would like to share. Not because of how I handled the situation, but of how my friend, a big Hollywood executive who's also a close relative of TWO of the biggest movie stars on the planet, who's in town for a few days, did...the INSTANT karma that came from it and what we can learn from it. I'm linking to my 2 minute INSTAGRAM-STORY of it here. Just go to my Instagram page and click the Highlight titled: KINDNESS. It's about 2 mins long :) NSFW due to strong language...it was a long night and I'm pretty sure when I woke up, I was still drunk.

I don't know where people get this Millennial bashing stuff from. Every Millennial I know has multiple jobs, are in school or are busy creating things. Whenever I run into people who bash Millennials, I say...maybe it's the Millennials YOU keep company with, because all the ones I know are some woke ass hustlers who are doing things I could only dream of when I was their age. Case in point, my friend Joanna, a 22 yr old Yogi rockstar based out of Hamilton who is the founder of an event that's happening next week during the Spring Equinox, March 17 & 18 at the Burlington Convention Centre: YOGAFEST! YogaFest is a conscious movement that inspires yoga and mindful living in the community. This
One thing I love about nightlife is the absolutely insane networking opportunities. I've met some pretty incredible people and am happy to count Anjelika Reznik among them. She's a 5 time Pan-Am & Olympic medallist & among the best gymnasts in the country! She and her identical twin Victoria have been representing Canada on the Olympic stage for nearly a decade in rhythmic gymnastics and are hosting a family friendly, FREE fundraiser with their teammates on Saturday March 24th, 2018 in Vaughn. The Canadian Aesthetic Group Gymnastics team (Rhythmic Expressions) is having a big fundraising event near Toronto on March 24th at Improve Canada starting at 2pm! They represent Canada around the worl
